ELECTRICO - SMALLER OUTFIT, BIGGER SOUND ON “WE

SATELLITES”

WE SATELLITES, Electrico’s 3rd album, is a richer and infinitely more melancholic album compared to their previous releases. The music sees Amanda’s keyboard prowess take on a much more significant role and provides a deeper insight into David’s varied and wide-ranging vocals, something not as apparent in the previous albums. An extremely tuneful album, WE SATELLITES comprises songs that are melodic while sounding different, from the dramatic and the epic, to the upbeat and euphoric. The dynamic range of music makes for an engaging album from the beginning to the end.

With 11 tracks of lush soundscapes and vivid lyrics, WE SATELLITES have managed to spin a story in each track with its grit, drama and real life inspiration. The tracks involve accounts of people living an urbanized life, trapped in the shadows of others, losing emotions, dealing with oppression and staying true to one-self. Conversely and true to the Electrico spirit, the album also celebrates life, love and relationships.

The struggles Electrico encountered during the production of this album no doubt played a big role in the formation of this unique album, unlike the multitude production-line pop out there. The band have also managed to inject new, rich musical textures into their new album, with the inclusion of a grand piano and a live horn section.

WE SATELLITES is an album that rocks with emotion, breaking the mold of many of today’s carbon copies. Electrico combines engaging lyrics, great music and high-quality production to create something that deserves to be heard on everyone’s radio, affix in everybody’s head and live in everybody’s heart. A true alternative, this album compels you to listen and find out where it’s going to take you next. Their originality is a breath of freshness in lieu of cookie-cutter alternative rock infesting radios these days.

Recorded at Snakeweed Studios and produced by Leonard Soosay, this album is mastered in New York City with George Marino at Sterling Sound. “Really enjoyed working on your CD! Great songs, vocals and instrument arrangements compliment each other wonderfully. Production and sounds are excellent!” says George Marino. Sterling Sound is a world-renown mastering engineer to bands, such as, Led Zepplin, Coldplay, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance and many more legendary artistes.

WE SATELLITES will be out in all good record stores on July 8th 2008 with pre-sales at HMV from Jun 28th 2008.
