ZOUK TO HOST ELECTRICO FIRST STOP OF WE SATELLITES

On Friday July 11th Singapore’s most successful pop-rock band, Electrico will be performing specially at Zouk in celebration of the much anticipated 3rd album WE SATELLITES.

One of the nation’s most aclaimed and best-loved bands, Electrico will officially launch their album at Zouk, the perfect platform and constant supporter of the band since their first album release in 2004. First ever will the band perform a completely new repertoire of songs to their fans. Expect to hear a darker, more cohesive, richer and fuller sound from the band and anticipate a more diverse and mature band with emotional and vivid lyrics.

Rock with Electrico, a familiar name at Zoukout since 2004, as they perform their new tracks featuring excellent keyboard talents and varied, wide-ranging vocals. Electrico is a guarantee of original music that spits in the face of factory-production line pop out there.

Starting from 10th July 2008, the 3-week Clear Channel campaign ring-fence Electrico’s other promotional activities. These include a brand-new album launch website wesatellites.com, gigs at Zouk, Boiler Room, Butter Factory, *scape Youth Park, Home Club, Arts House and many other gigs. The out-of-home ads serve to remind and reinforce the launch message and prompt call-to-purchase. The band believes that Clear Channel’s media support will be enormously beneficial. Quoting Desmond Goh, bassist of Electrico, “I ride the bus all the time and I often pay attention to bus shelter advertisements. For a change, it would be pretty cool to see our own album on them!”.
